Questions we get asked
What does RAVE SPACE do?
RAVE.SPACE GmbH is a software studio in Berlin for immersive and interactive applications. We develop interactive 3D applications that run in the browser, and we operate them on our own RAVE ENGINE. The work falls into the four families the services page lists: Immersive Web on the RAVE ENGINE, 3D Capture and Asset Creation, Studio and Production, and Spatial Computing. Concept, creative and film production sit alongside, so one studio covers the idea, the build and the operation.
Do visitors have to install an app?
No. Everything runs in the browser. A link or a QR code starts the experience, on desktop, phone, tablet and VR headset. There is no app store, no download and no plugin.
The engine renders on the visitor's own device, so beyond hosting there are no additional operating costs.
What is the RAVE ENGINE?
Our own real-time 3D engine for the open web. It carries multi-user worlds, avatars, voice and text chat, AR and VR, an integrated CMS for images, videos and 3D products, and hooks for analytics tools. It embeds into existing websites and frameworks rather than replacing them.
Can an experience be embedded in our own website?
Yes. The engine integrates into existing sites and frameworks. A 3D product viewer can sit inside a shop page, and a fully walkable space can live behind a link under your own domain.
Which devices and browsers are supported?
Desktop, phone and tablet through the browser. VR headsets are supported directly, without an extra app. For Apple Vision Pro we develop dedicated spatial experiences. A gamepad can replace mouse and keyboard, which is what trade fair installations usually use.
Where is the data hosted?
This website runs on Google Cloud in a region inside the European Union. Digital Humans are available hosted by us or fully on-premise in your own infrastructure. For a specific project we agree the hosting region with you.
Has your information security been assessed externally?
Yes. RAVE.SPACE GmbH went through an Information Security Assessment (ISA/CVA) by DCSO, as a first assessment on Assessment Level 1: a catalogue of control questions plus an external review of our evidence documents. The assessment was completed in September 2026.
The report, the management summary and the scorecard go out to clients and to companies evaluating us under a mutual non-disclosure agreement. The Information Security page has the detail.
How do you handle AI transparency?
Where we use AI, it is written down on the AI transparency page. That page also carries the disclosure required by Article 50 of the EU AI Act for synthetic avatars.
Who have you worked for?
Brands published on this site include Samsung, Adobe, Amazon Ads, Deloitte, Deka, ERGO, Volkswagen Group Technology, Zalando, Sennheiser, Universal Music, Hertha BSC and Bundeswehr. The case studies sit under Projects.
How does a project start?
Send a brief, an RFP or just an idea. We come back within 24 hours with a take. A 30 minute call can be booked straight from the contact page.
In which languages do you work?
German and English. The studio is in Berlin, Köpenicker Straße 7. This site serves English at the root and German under /de/.
